About Mimosa Nursery

Located at 2700 W Crescent Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801, Mimosa Nursery operates as a plant nursery serving Anaheim in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as garden center, wholesale plant nursery, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Anaheim, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–4:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Mimosa Nursery at (714) 828-0780; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, vuoncayoc.com.

Anaheim is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Anaheim is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very good selection of fruit trees that are very hard to find. They sell citrus trees which hardly any one else in the area is able to do. They keep them in a separate green house that no one is allowed to enter except the employees. If there's a type that you want, they will bring it to a window for you to view. They will not bring it out until you have agreed to purchase it. Most of the trees have been grafted to trees that normally grow in the local soil conditions so be prepared to pay top dollar. We bought keow savoy mango and star ruby grapefruit. All sales are final so take a good look at what you are buying before you pay. Overall it a good experience but the staff, I am assuming owners, are not very personable.

We weren't sought out by employees to be greeted or followed around as we had been at other local nurseries. The variety was massive and everything was very well organized. We had to find someone to get us what we were looking for because of the rules surrounding citrus trees. We got what we went there for and during the checkout process, the gentleman was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us advice on how to care for our new bush. He also gave us advice on maintaining the existing plants/trees that we have. The selection was great, we'll be back.

It was very well maintained lots of plants to choose from. They have a special Greenhouse for citrus plants, the public cannot go inside the greenhouse but upon request the workers are very helpful and will bring the plants out for one to see and purchase. Great assortment of mature trees and large plants. Prices are fair and clearly marked unlike other nurseries. As mentioned before the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their products.

Mimosa nursery is the place to go for all your fruit trees. They have a lot of tropical fruit trees that you can't find elsewhere.Their prices are good, especially when they have sales. They have so many roses too. Loved their King palms. You have to check this nursery out if you love planting trees. Oh they have non fruit trees as well. As long as you have a CUV or an SUV, they will package the trees securely so that you can transport them home.
